C. Michael McCoy moved to Florida in 1983 to join the corporate design team at Arthur Rutenberg Homes Corporation, located in Clearwater.
In 1986, McCoy Residential Designs, Inc. was founded to provide a unique design service approach to the custom housing market. This has allowed Michael to express his creative style and personally oversee every facet of the work, from the conceptual phase through the completion of construction.
Michael McCoy has established himself as one of the area's premier Building Designers. He demonstrates a distinctive and diverse style that is unique, elegant, and timeless. For nearly four decades, McCoy Residential Designs has performed to the highest standards of excellence.

Michael McCoy has extensive experience in single-family, multi-family and light commercial structures. McCoy Residential Designs has been commissioned for over five hundred various endeavors since its inception over thirty six years ago.
